COACHING

Club Coaching Programmes

We place a strong emphasis on introducing children to the game and helping them develop their abilities. We typically run coaching programmes in Spring and Autumn on Sunday afternoons for children aged between 3 and 16 years old. Details of the current session are in the Events section of the website.

For your child to attend the classes you must be a member of the Warriston Community Tennis Club (see membership page). Payment must be made in advance and your child's place will not be confirmed until payment is made (please do not turn up on the day without confirmation). Club rackets are available to use.

Private Coaching

Members can arrange private coaching sessions (individually or in groups) directly with our coach, Amelia Black (amelia_black@hotmail.com, mob 07827 916951).  Amelia is an experienced Level 2 LTA Qualified tennis coach who continually looks to improve the sessions for both adults and juniors by introducing new techniques and approaches. This is achieved by studying online services and attending tennis workshops such as those provided by Judy Murray and Lois Cayer. She takes great satisfaction in helping both adult and junior players improve and to increase their enjoyment of tennis. Amelia has played tennis to county standard and has been the team captain for the East of Scotland doubles and singles league matches. She says this role has also helped her improve players' tactical awareness needed in match situations.

Warriston Community Tennis Club is a charity registered in Scotland, Scottish Charity No. SC044729
